From 31 October – 12 November 2021, the UK hosted the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow.
Switch proudly contributed in a number of ways including running an all-electric bus route, and exhibiting as part of the Green Zone EV and Hydrogen exhibition.
We showcased the future of urban mobility with our Move Better Bus, and demonstrated the role we are playing in helping cities across the world transition to a zero-emission future.
Imagine a world where roads are less congested, urban spaces are quieter and the air we breathe is cleaner.
Here at Switch, we're striving to make this a reality.
Our team of industry experts were invited to join a number of panels and engagements throughout COP26.
Dr. Andrew Palmer contributed to a number of events including ‘Scaling clean transport: an honest conversation about the key challenges that could slow us, and options to solve them’, and ‘Charging up? Maturing the market for EVs, in Britain and across the world”.
Sarwant Singh contributed to several events including ‘RouteZero: driving innovation forward on zero emission vehicles’.

We gave visitors at the Green Zone EV and Hydrogen exhibition the opportunity to jump on board the ‘Move Better Bus’ and explore the future of urban mobility.
Switch partnered with Abellio and ScotRail to electrify route 398.
Our Metrocity and Metrodecker delivered an all-electric shuttle service throughout COP26. The regular bus route between Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central Station was open to everyone, for free during the summit.
